DRMS logo

DRMS is a private, non-profit corporation with a federal mandate to protect and advocate for the rights of individuals with disabilities across the state of Mississippi. Designated by the Governor as the official P&A agency for the state, DRMS is part of a network of agencies across the country, tasked with investigating abuse and neglect in facilities as well as providing legal representation and other advocacy services in the community for people with disabilities. A Protection and Advocacy agency exists in every state and territory to provide protection and advocacy services to people with disabilities. Collectively, the Protection and Advocacy Network is the largest enforcer of the Americans with Disability Act and other disability rights laws.
